I want to set up a router in my mill, and want my clamp to hang on the knee ways. I looked around for ideas or existing products, but found nothing. Part of the problem may have been knowing what to search for.
Has anyone built anything to clamp to these ways?

Even if You know what to search for it can be a real pain.
I remember a thread that shows a nice clamp set up for an outboard bearing like for a horiz. mill , but I can't find it either.

Iv seen horzontal milling attachments that clamp onto the dovetail ways on the ram. that kinda seemed smartest to me since those are non critical ways so you can't really damage them, and you still retain the heads swivel/ram movement

heres an example of one.

Pertty simple clamp setup, just a giant split in the cast iron and a clamp bolt/nut!
Initial precision of machining likey 100% critical

Another way I guess that would be less tollerance critical would be a lockable gib sorta setup.
