View Full Version : Norinco any good?

I notice Interstate is offering a model 1897 trench gun.

I can tolerate the idea of having my Asian equipment malfunction during use, but no way a firearm.

How's the reputation?

Well, their SKS is O.K.

Sold and owned a number of Norinco manufactured firearms, 1911, M14, SKS, no negative experiences.

That said, they all have a repair department.

There is no trigger sear disconnect in the old 97 design. The Cowboy competetion guys like that but for the average person that is a safety issue. I have one but I don't let my wife use it as she is accustomed to the Rem 870

I have one of the Norinco M97 Shotguns and have had zero problems with it. It is EXACTLY like the original M97 Trench Guns. I have an original M97 Trench Gun in like new condition and I got the Norinco so I can have one to shoot. Taking an original M97 to the range and shooting it seems like a sacrilege to me so that is why I got a "stand-in" for it.
