Congrats to George for a very successful day one. All the seminars we attended were standing room only. Lots of interesting vendors displaying their wares. We are looking forward to more of the same tomorrow. Great job George!

I'll second that. I took away several valuable tips, ideas and sources, as well as meeting some of the readers and BBS participants. Note: while I write for Digital Machinist, I am not CNC literate. I'm attending to learn.
Just as good as the first!
The sessions have been very informative. It has been good to see what others have done and what many of the exhibitors brought with them to demo.
Today after several presentations Rick C. gave a live aluminum casting demonstration. He's a very energetic guy with no signs of tiring!

The worst part about today was tomorrow is the last day. Another fantastic day. Too many thinks to do. Too many great seminars, too many interesting people, too much great stuff to look at.
Most fun I have ever had with my clothes on.

It was an awesome workshop. George and others did a spectacular job setting it up. I have been building my own CNC stuff for over 8 years and still learned a lot and found items I plan to purchase soon.
The FREE cupcakes were also a nice touch.
Was I ever tired after driving 5 hours to get home Friday but it was well worth it.
Dave, I always love talking to you Canadians.

The fest was great - can't wait for next year!
I would also like to thank KimK and DaleG for taking up the task of teaching the EMC2 classes. Thank You!

Yep, enjoyed my ration of cupcakes - Gretchen has discovered one of my weaknesses. After attending the sessions I was interested in, I spent a lot of time getting to know many of the attendees and exhibitors. Learned a lot there also. Met DFMiller, RKW and Panchula from the BBS, perhaps more that I didn't recognize.
Dave (DFMiller) commented after reading one of my posts, that I had finally gone over to the Dark Side. True enough, and the Force was particularly strong Friday as I won one of the door prizes - a seat of Vectric Photo V Carve. Now I HAVE to get a CNC machine running.:D
Congratulations! The software looked like a nice package from the demos that I saw.
Any idea if a list of the winners is going to be published? I needed to get on the road and did not stay much past 1:00 Friday.

It was a great week. It was very nice to meet everyone. I look forward to next year. My daughter says she wants to attend again. We will fly in next year I think.
Thanks to George, Weston and RKW and everyone else who made us feel so welcome.

I posted some photos on the yahoo group. They need to be reorganized as they somehow uploaded out of order.

Let me know if I should re-post them here

I hope to make next year for sure. It sounds like it was a great conference and I missed catching up with many of you.
My oldest daughters birthday was the 25th and she wanted to go backpacking on South Manitou Island. We had a great time and I am still able to walk..:)...
