Looking for some place that I could buy something similar to these. Maybe 1" - 1.5" diameter. Any ideas?

This

could be mated to this

with this

to make something similar.

I was at harbor Freight today, and saw their 8" Torpedo Level #65691, which sells for $2.99.

The round 'direction pin' level toward the hanging hole could be removed from the other part with a little effort, and it is probably the right size for your need.

In the two I looked at, the direction pin moved smoothly, and seemed to agree well with the other two vials on the level. The round vial is marked well enough to have reasonable accuracy and it's easy to read.

It doesn't say in the ad, but those are usually about 4" in diameter, so I think it's probably too big.

The HF picture is messed up for some reason. The direction pin in the ones at the store always pointed straight up. It would be impossible to take that picture, which shows the pin pointed off at 45* while the vial on the side shows level. I guess their proofreaders are no better than some of their stuff. :D

Just a crazy idea, but have you considered slipping Gano Welding Supplies $25 and watching the mail? :)

Here's a URL: http://www.ganowelding.com/cucoledirese.html

Curve-o-mark products are still available, any good industrial welding supplier (they are used by pipe fitter/welders) should be able to get them for you. Industrial supply house should have them too.
