I have to move this lathe its a 1944 mod CBB lathe 20 inch swing and 96 inches between centers anyone knows the weight of this lathe? Thanks for any and all help Bill.

Yes that the one looks the same,,I was thinking about the same weight.

I would think a little more, my 16 X 54 CY weighs approx 5400 LBS.

Me too. I would have figured closer to 8000 pounds. Even if it's not it definitely wouldn't hurt to have some safety factor built in.

I had a 20x72 CBB. 8 or 9K is about right. Wish I'd kept that lathe, a good one is a pleasure.

My 13" x 30" Ser.60 Monarch (which really has a 17" swing) is 4600 lb.

My trailer! I was going to use is about 9k max,,may need to rethink this. That's why I was hoping for a close approximate weight with in maybe a few hundred pounds to be sure. If its closer to 7k to 8k i should be fine.

Bill-I've forgotten the catalog weight, mostly going by how it "felt" on my boom-truck, but 9K trailer will be fine. Further-a typical 6K forklift might rack back and scoot it, but probably won't get it on a trailer.
