Does anyone here have experience with either/both of these programs? I have my little Denford Micromill up and running pretty well and set it up with TurboCNC. I will go to Mach 3 early next year when I inherit another PC with enough oomph & have enough spare hobby cash to purchase it. Right now I'm limited to DOS programs on an old laptop.

T/CNC works pretty well but as Evan mentioned in another thread, it causes a hesitation before and after each arc command which bothers me. Anyone know if CNCPro handles arcs & circles better? I also ran across an old post by Mariss where he stated that "CNCpro has probably one of the finest pulse engines I have seen on a PC" whatever that means.;)

If CNC pro has the same problem I'm not going to spend the time to config and learn it.

Thanks!

I have been using Turbocnc for around 5 years. I started running Mach3 last year so now I'm running both.

For production work I like Turbocnc simply because it displays how many parts have been run. Also Turbocnc starts the next part with the ENTER
key. Runs in DOS so no mouse is needed. Also, Turbocnc runs fine on my old Compaq laptops.

I have another mill that runs on Mach3. I really like Mach3. I can run my
CAD, CAM and run my CNC machine all on one computer. I have run my CNC mill and designed my next job with CAD all at the same time.

I would like to try CNCpro. Where can I find it.

Hi, thanks for the info.

I joined the Yahoo CNCPro group at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/CNCPro/ and downloaded the latest version from the Files section there. It's free. I haven't tried it yet but will soon. As usual, I've drifted off into another project before properly finishing this one.
