The keyless drill chuck on my 3/8" electric drill is slipping. I try to grip and turn it with more effort but unable to keep the drill bit from slipping.
Is there any way to keep the drill bit from slipping? Or do I have to buy a replacement chuck? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Paul

A little lubrication should help.

Strap wrench on the drill chuck.
Or drill a tiny hole in the body and use a pin spanner or two like glacern's keyless chucks.

Or grind 3 flats on your drill bits.

Some keyless chucks suck pertty bad.. Unfortualy the others that are good self tighten and can be near impossable to remove a drill bit without a pin spanner. (Also, those don't work in reverse very well for removing screws)

Agreed with Black_Moons, high end chucks will over tighten.
That's been my experience with both Precision Jacobs and Albrecht chucks, but they don't slip!

He has pretty well covered the remedy.

Replace it with a keyed chuck.
