I want to make a QCTP for my old lathe.

So I bought some dovetail cutters on Ebay.

Eight cutters in package. They all have a 1 inch shank and vary in size except for one smaller cutter.

There are two with a 136 degree face that I have no idea what you would do with them.

Under 50 dollars for the bunch. They are new.

How does the threaded shank on the cutters work?

The collett has a thread on the bottom that the cutter threads into.

Nice! So what's that work out to cost per cutter, and how much of a savings over buying each one individually as needed?

Eight cutters 50 dollars. 6 plus dollars apiece.

New cutters of this quaility(German) minimum 75 dollars apiece.

That's a fairly substantial gloat-to-cost-savings ratio!

Not "$100 for a zillion drills and taps HA HA WOO!" substantial but still very good.

I believe these cutters go in something like this...

It's not a minor gloat. This can bring you a "You suck!" award. :)

Congrats!
