Generally I am looking for advice, but this time I hope to be able to contribute something useful.

I have an ENCO 110-2075 lathe which is, I believe, the same thing as the Harbor Freight 65044. The original lathe motor recently went out and I had to purchase a new motor. Problem was the old motor had a 3-wire connection and the new motor had 6-wires. I went to several motor shops and they all suggested I just switch to a drum switch or bring the current switch to them to look at for $60/hour. Well, I can't fault them for wanting to earn money for their knowledge, but since the switch weighs 1,100 pounds (the lathe) and the idea of spending money tends to bring out the Scotch in me, I decided to work it out on my own.

Long story short, I was able to rewire the existing control circuit to run the new motor and am willing to share a diagram if anyone else has the same opportunity and is interested.
