I need to make some inserts that have an external 9/16" - 18 thread. I figured the quickest way to do this is to cut them from threaded rod or bolts.

Anyone know of a cheap source for a few 9/16 - 18 bolts or about a ~1' length of 9/16-18 threaded rod? I don't think the big box stores will have 9/16 fine pitch fasteners, although I will look tomorrow.

I know McMaster sells what I want for about $5. That's perfect, except the shipping ends up being about $11. It kind of hacks me off that the shipping is more than twice the cost of the product...

Or, a hardware store that actually has bigger sizes.
