Does anyone here have a Fluid Dynamics Book or Fluid Mechanics Book they would like to sell?

I was checking the college book store and online new books are not cheap.

Sometimes I can find online books to read but I want my own book. I don't care if it is a 30 year old book if I can bet a better price.

It is rare to find a book like this at the local used book store. I found a good engineering book yesterday at the used book store for $1.99.

Have you looked at online used book sources. A quick search of Abe Books lists a bunch of stuff from $3.95 at:

That's a good link. They even have the book by my Stanford professor John Vennard, whose course I took in 1961: http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?kn=fluid+dynamics+vennard&x=0&y=0. I still have the book, and consult it occasionally.

Along the topic here is a very interesting fluid simulation:

You can drag the liquid around with your mouse and see how it reacts.
On the top there are sliders to alter the fluid properties. Very interesting!

Here is another fluid simulation. It's only 17K, all machine code, no install, no virions and it's freeware. Touch the pool with the mouse and see what happens. Change the parameters for more fun.

That fluid sim you found Matt is excellent. Too bad it isn't downloadable. I suppose I might be able to snag the Java from the cache but it seems to need a security key to run so it must be online.
