You know you move a lot of machinery when......

You know you move a lot of machinery when-

You judge wieght by forklift capacity

You say things like"wheres that drop on counter wieght?"

You figure transport cost in numbers of trailers.

You are limited not so much by money but rather space.

You need chains, binders, straps and comealongs more than food or drink.

You look at tire squat instead of spring travel.

You can drop forks, sideshift, lift and tilt a pallet without stopping.

And last but not least when you here things like"where are we going to put all this s---!

Needless to say we picked up a lot of goodies this weekend-
    22"Tannawitz bandsaw
    24"Tannawitz bandsaw
    24" abrasive cutoff
    8" radial arm drill press
    3 blade welders
    2welding machines
    2000+ lbs of mixed abrasives
    tooling,tooling and more tooling
    bandsaw stock 10-12,000 feet
    18"Oliver planer
    6"Porter joiner
    15hp Westinghouse compressor
    40-50 electric motors
and about 5 trailer loads of misc.crap.

And loaded, moved and unloaded in two days!
I just need one more tool, just one!

I was getting funny looks yesterday as I drove down the street on the forklift towing a 10' stock rack/pipe tree loaded with goodies.
When I saw the towbar and wheels on that rack I figured why load the roller conveyor sections and carts in the truck. I just bought the new rack that was at the liquidation sale for 50 bucks, loaded it up and towed it back to the shop with the fork.

When you lean on a pinch bar and can estimate the weight to within a hundred pounds.

You know you move a lot of machinery when

SWMBO refuses to ride in the pick-up because her ankles haven't healed from the last time. You hit the brakes and the cat rollers surges from under the seat and ripped the sandals right off her feet.

You own more chain hoists than clean shirts.

Your cat's ears are greasy from welcome home skritches.

You can single-handedly move a chest freezer full of frozen product from one end of the house and down a flight of stairs into a truck with nothing more than a half dozen 2 x 4's and three broomsticks and your kids think nothing of it.

People don't ask you to help them move - becuase your truck bed looks like a heavy crude carrier spill site.

The air lift compressor in your glamour ride dies trying to keep up with the weight handling gear in the trunk (actually happend to me).

You have two washing machines. One for normal stuff and the other for work clothes.

Any women that don't know you well enough by now to wear steel toed boots in yer truck deserves the odd flesh wound for not making sure the gear ain't stowed right under the seat in the first place - women I tells ya!

Your 1" dia. CRS rollers have been worn down to look like 1/2" drill rod.
