Hello me again, I want to use a Baldor Motor. I need help choosing the correct Baldor catalog number. Baldor 1 hp 3 phase for installing a VFD onto my SB heavy ten. I have been to the Baldor web site but Baldor has way to many style's of 1 Hp 3 phase motots for me to understand which one is correct. 115/230 volt input.

Thanks Chet

You need a motor which is suitable for both 440 and 220 volts here in the uk as you use the delta winding over in the states the voltage will be different of course as I think you have three phase at 220v ,check it out.As I understand it 3 phase motors they must have the ability for star and delta as far as I know , his lordship will keep you right what he doesn't know about this hasn't been written he's a genius and he's secretly Scottish too boot:DAlistair

Chet,

Are you referring to the frame size? If so, use the following link to pick the frame pattern needed.

Here you go,it's your basic 1hp TEFC 1800 rpm 220/440vac 3~ motor.

BUT,you can shop around and do better on the price. You should be able to find one for around $260 give or take.
