Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and new to machining for that matter. I build a lot of things from metal and getting tired of farming out all the machine work and missing out on all the fun. I need some advice on a Saimp step mill I am looking at. I cannot find a lot of info on it. Cannot find parts or even a manual. From what I have found out they are built very well. I am not only buying it for me but also for Michael in Az. so he is not the only one in the world that has a Saimp mill!. If anyone could give me info on a Saimp mill (especially you Mike!) or anyone willing to give me advice on what to look for when buying a mill I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance!! Gary

I used one for a while many years ago. They are a good quality Italian machine. I don't remember too many specifics, but I was very impressed with the good engineering and quality.

If you are speaking of "Michael AZ" from the PM board he died around 2007.

I'm sorry to hear about that. I read a lot of his previous post's and knew he had a Saimp mill
