Lee Vally has rare earth magnets that size if that's the same thing.

I found Digikey service the same shipping from the US as it was from Canada.

George is right. Lee Valley has a wide selection of neodymium magnets.
They have 3 stores in Toronto.

Digi-Key ships to Canada for $8.
No minimum order.
Almost always next day delivery.
Make sure you are on their Canadian site for correct pricing.

DigiKey just shipped to me from their office in N. Dakota?

I got some magnets pertty cheap off ebay last time I bought some... some nice 1"x1" Cylinder magnets.. and about 50 each of 1/4"x1/4" cylinders and 1/4" cubes

Makes for an intresting random fridge scupture/plaything when you add in some 1/4" ball bearings. Just make sure to put a peice of paper under em all or it ruins the fridge quickly.

Electrosonic ships from new york (thats their warehouse now, it used to be in markham 2-3 years ago) [Phone their markham location]. Digikey ships from the states if they have it in their warehouse, but since their catalogue is so big, it ships from china on the uncommon items (unless the parts you're buying are made in north america, but how often is that the case?).

I guess this card I got in the mail this week must have been snail mail!!
It reads verbatim:
ANNOUNCEMENT OF RELOCATION OF ELECTROSONICS CORPORATE HEAD OFFICE.
Effective Jan 15th 2011 Electrosonics head office will be moving to
55 Renfrew Drive, ste 100
Markham, Ont 905-946-0100?
The shipment this week came by Purolator from Ontario??.
My orders with DigiKey are phoned in at the end of the day, the next morning they are on the door step, from China?
Max.

Digi-Key is not a Chinese company. They are American owned and located in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. They have offices in Minneapolis and call centers in Europe and Asia. They ship and market world wide which includes Canada too. Anything on their website marked as "In Stock" is sitting in their distribution center in Thief River Falls, MN.

How do I know this? Mrs. dkhntr04 and about 2,500 of my "neighbors" work for Digi-Key.

A1's a good store, the owner has lots of products that he doesn't even know he has - he told me that some things could be worth 1000's of dollars if you could identify them. I had to go there to get a special capacitor for a furnace motor. Found a 1" by 12" round machined bar (looks like it was diamond cut), he wanted something like 50$ for it!

I don't know if Wal-Mart is in Canada, but I just bought two four packs of small ones from their crafts department here. I have purchased the same ones in Wal-Marts in other cities so it seems to be an item they generally stock.

How is this even possible? They have two shipping options for in-USA, one is 7$, the other is 60$ something too!

I've only seen the weaker ones, like fridge magnets in the form of sheets.
