For all you RKI's...

I was on IE an hour ago, then got a message that "IE has stopped working, Windows will notify you of a solution."

Well, no solution notification yet. But, I opened up Google (from desktop), entered HSM, had to log in, but here I am. I've tried to open up IE several times since then to no avail but I can access the internet via google(chrome).

I know how I got here but why is this working but not IE? . W7 system.

Thanks

Got the same problem with IE here in New York. I thought
it was my puter but I guess I was wrong (as usual).

You have a browser add-in that stopped working or you have a virus that was added by a web-page you visited.

Stop going to the porn sites. :D

That same thing happened on mine also, I ended up having to reset IE settings. It works fine now.

That same thing happened on mine also, I ended up having to reset IE settings. It works fine now.

FWIW, I fired up my work laptop this morning (in my truck - wireless) and got the same pop up (IE has stopped working) three different times, but after about 9-10 seconds, IE restored itself. I access my e-mail account on the jobsite via internet. I haven't tried my computer at home yet today, but I ran a Norton and Malware scan last night and came up with nothing as far as an infection.

MMC005: What setting did you play with?

recoil,
I went to the control panel and clicked on internet/networking and then selected the internet options. Then click on the advanced tab and at the bottom of the page there is a place that says reset internet options to default settings, I clicked on that and then applied it. It has been fine ever since I did.
I scanned my system also and found nothing wrong.
