I need to make a locking device to hold a block onto a shaft, much like the way a quick change tool post mounts. I need to have it lock without threads. The clamp, if i remember correctly, has a wavy base with a piece that will lock it w/ less than 180 deg. of turn, much the way a qctp feels when the wedges or piston locks.
Does anyone know how it is made or where I can find a drawing or other info.
thanks

Take a look at bicycle cam action seat post clamps. Some of the photos on EvilBay give enough detail that you should be able to work from them.

Not sure if this helps, but is it like a cam action edge clamp like in your link?

Thanks for all the info. I actually made a test piece of alum. late this afternoon. Made it on the mill w/ rotary table and power down feed. I think I have the concept and will try to figure out the amount of slope/slant? tomorrow.
thanks
