Intersting video.

Was able to watch one of these work the other day, truly impressive.
Making 3 rather large milled parts at one time. Gets interesting at 2 minutes in.

Note -
it has 2 gantries so you can do 6 short parts
or
work both ends of 3 long parts simultaneously (& at the same time :D )

Sounds like those heads are hydraulic controlled (tilting), are the ways hydrostatic?

When I worked at Boeing in Wichita, KS they had several of those. One of my jobs was to set up the tooling on them. On one job they were running three 6" diam. X 12" long 2 flute ball end mills with carbide cutting edges to cut titanium forgings that were 12" thick x 3' x 4'. 3 parts at a time.

Fascinating to watch.

You can get almost that amount of flexability & twisting on a Bridgeport (when you try to cut a flat face  ) :D
