A few handtools and immense skill. I especially liked the second guy, who uses just a freakin axe to make a very nice spoon.

Thanks for the post Taydin, I'm into wood and watching those guys show you how to work with what you have and not with what you need should be a lesson to us all. The chair worker was great.

Hi what's a freakin axe? Alistair

A 'freakin axe' is a highly specialised tool, usually honed to a ridiculous degree, that is especially good at removing operator fingers, mostly while attempting to do what "somebody did in a youtube video."

They were named by emergency room receptionists because every time they ask "what did you do" the answer is "I cut my thumb off with a freakin axe!"

Been there, done that, though only about a 1/8" of skin and flesh. Though, in my case, it was the result of thinking about a pretty girl... which is probably more dangerous than youtube. It was a good lesson a long time ago that, no doubt, has contributed to keeping all of what's left over the years.

So, after watching the lumber carrying video, what's the equivalent of "Bubba" in Russian? :D
