I'm getting ready to model and generate some code to make a new set of Al. Soft Jaws for a lathe chuck and it occurred to me I have dozens of 1 off drawings and G-code files on my computer with little chance of ever being used again that I would be more then willing to share.
Any body else here feel the same way

Count me in. Pretty new to CNC but would be glad to share what I have.

Now that I am CNC capable (sort of), I will be including g-code downloads from some of the projects in my articles from the Mechatronist Column on the Digital Machinist website.

Well here is the question
How or where can we hang .NC or .dwg files and should it be like a "Sticky" at the top or a separate sub-forum to this one. Some one got to ask the owner of the forum what he thinks about the idea too.
Easy enough to just use the "Quote" function and place G-code in a .txt format been then the users have little or no idea what they are actually grabbing either

When I finish a job, I will take the CNC code, CAD drawings, and photos of the setups and burn a CD and put the CD in the job folder. Then I don't have a bonch of crap on my computer or in the control.
I like to keep only one program at a time on the machine.

Steve I'm just talking about HSM type items and especially 1 offs we have all done as favors for whom ever. Below is a Derby Cover for a sporster being built for returning Vet by his brother. The Recon unit incorporated the playboy bunny logo into their unit patch and I put it on a Derby Cover for him.
From what I read in Ironworks rag he seemed to like the cover

But for guys starting out building the Gecko drive HSM mills or retrofits a little chunk of code can go a long way to bring home the smiles to their hard efforts.
Besides, its not like I'll ever need to build it again
