View Full Version : oddball thread size

I have here an RCA connector that has been disassembled. It looks to have a fine pitch thread of OD 10.75mm. I don't have a pitch gauge near me right now, but it could possibly be .75mm. I know that the major diameter of most screws is a little less than the nominal size, but I think 10.75 is a below the spec for a M11. There aren't any nearby standard sizes that I know of. Could this thread indeed be M11?

Since RCA plugs have been around at least since the 1950s and probably earlier, I doubt it is metric. It may be 7/16-38 NEF. Or just some oddball.
