Was browsing and came across this:

I'd guess they're expensive, no mention of prices on website without filling in e-mail enquiry form.

I think they look good (or at least the marketing does), anybody seen or used one?

That shapes been around for some years now.

Heres a 1995 model

If its anything like a V13 in fit , finish and feel...it should be pretty good.

Here's an idea of prices in OZ.

Mine is a 13S. When Emco first began making these, they were called the Emcomat 13S. Same size, specs, etc. Not sure how long they built them as the 13S before they changed the name to 17S.
I bought mine used in 2007. It is a nice lathe...not a heavy duty machine, but well designed in most aspects. D1-5 spindle is not nearly as plentiful as D1-6, but that can work to your advantage when you do find something you need on the used market. Good feed/speed range, hole thru spindle size, and fit/finish. Nice ergonomics too. I use a BXA QC toolholder and think it is about the perfect size.
I would not pay the new prices I see posted for it! I picked up mine used, but in like new condition for ~$4500 USD.
Can I answer any specific questions?
BTW, the red looks cool in the shop!!
