Hello All,

I'm starting my own shop out of my garage and was wondering if anyone knows where to get good metal charts and such, like decimal equivalent charts, and also manufacturer signs, for example a LeBlond sign?

Ebay would be a good place to start

Starrett will send you wall decimal charts with tap sizes and all for free. They will even throw in some pocket charts.

This is the one I got for my shop from MSC. It's poster size and laminated.

Here is a drill and tap chart from J&S that can be printed out. Great if you can print on 11X17 paper in color:

by metal charts I meant charts made of metal...I worked at TIMKEN Boring Specialties in Texas and they had an old aluminum Kennedy decimal equivalents chart

Metal charts like .03 stamps are mostly things of the past. Your are lucky if they will give paper ones. what we did in the school system was spray adhesive them to Masonite or plywood and spray clear over.
For all of those OSHA signs that you will need. You can do the same or load a thumb drive up and take them to one of the instant print/sign shops.
OSHA and statutory signs for both the US/UK/ EU Signs Freesignage .com (http://www.freesignage.com/index.php)

I called them. I asked for a wall chart and was asked if I would like a few pocket charts. I got a couple of large wall charts and a half dozen pocket charts.

Many manufacturers provide such charts for free. One that I like because there are many of them and they can be obtained from the comfort of your easy chair on the internet is Starrett. Go to their web site:

http://www.starrett.com/

then:

Catalogs / PDF literature / Full Line Catalog

The charts section is in the back of the catalog. You can just print them and past them up in the shop.

Many others have similar literature in their catalogs or available for free if you request it with an order. Just explore the web sites.

Starrett has charts available too. As for metal ones, those are long gone. Auctions and Flea Markets are your best bet.
