Pretty neat idea and really cool...until it gets tangled in your SO's hair

Must be a problem with the ISP satellite system. They are having some issues the last couple of days with the web acceleration caching system.

It appears that my ISP won't display Photobucket content. :(

Evan: same here

I/O error when loading URL over HTTP - Error # 2032

I am pretty hopeless figuring this stuff out...cable via what used to be a phone company...but I have had this sort of thing before with video from/on photobucket...

Very nice work - I want one!

OK so you spend a year and a half making one, try to slip it on the girls finger, and darn me it's too small !! You can't stretch it like a normal ring .

Found, appeared to load, showed a sequence of 10 jerky stills instead of video, low grumbling in background that I guess was meant to be speech.

Looks nice though. Could have spent a little more effort polishing the screws if they're going to be snapped in close up.

Then you put it on a jewelry chain and make it a necklace.;)

No sound in the back ground, video isn't jerky. Must be your connection.

You would give that to a girl. Oh, let me count the ways.

1. It's mine, not hers.
2. No girl would appreciate it unless she is a member of this board (and then she can make her own).
3. Wit all the work it would take, diamonds would be cheaper.
4. ...

Oh well, you get the idea. If I made it, it WOULD fit ME.

It would be a neat desk toy if it were about ten times bigger.

So I see how the inner gears work without falling out (bevel on teeth), how does one go about retaining the outer moving gear? A small ring or wire sweated into place? Press fit a retainer?
