I have a job to do that involves cutting a bunch of HDPE blocks to precise (+0.00/-.003") length. I figured I'd do it in my wood cutting miter saw and want to build a fairly precise adjustable depth stop for this job & others down the road.
The saw table has some 3/8 UNC tapped holes that I can use to clamp a device in place. I have some ideas but figured this has been done many times by much smarter folk than I. Any of you expert wood craftsmen got a pic or drawing of a simple one? Using 10-32 or 1/4-28 threaded rod maybe?
