Need help in Identifying part

I need help in identifying this part. It's the part in the middle of this picture.
It is threaded inside and threads into a threaded rod. I don't know the thread size, it's small and the overall lenght of this is maybe 3/8's. It's stainless steel I believe. anyone know what this is called and WHERE I could purchase a quanity of them? Thanks in advance!

Do a search for swageless mechanical fittings. What is the end use for them?

Looks like parts from a small turnbuckle or tie rod arrangement

It looks like the adjusting part at the end of a bicycle brake cable.
