View Full Version : Looking For Rex(?) Tingey Plans

Back in the 70's (20th century) he authored several articles about Unimats.
There were plans as well for some small live steam models - one was a locomotive and another - I think: my memory has dimmed with time - was a small road engine/steam roller. Hoping someone can point me to a source for plans or... whatever. Thanks.

Amazon provides links to domestic vendors listing used copies of both.
There is a link to a UK vendor offering 'Projects for ...' above and a search
suggests there might be a number of similar other sources in the UK.

A couple of posts from Home Model Engine Enthusiast on the subject
that might be meaningful

(2011.02.06) His book 'Making the Most of the Unimat' (http://www.homemodelenginemachinist.com/index.php?topic=12682.0) is available
to download on the Unimat Yahoo group

(2008.06.11) Have any of you gentlemen built the Sweet 16 traction engine (http://www.homemodelenginemachinist.com/index.php?topic=2219.0)
described in the book?. The castings come from a company called Reeves

Appreciate the links. Didn't realize that the models were from castings, not bar & sheet stock.
