Finally getting around to looking into the (new to us) Bridgeport we acquired.

The power x-feed wouldn't work. Had a blown fuse. I was hoping it wasn't the controller board as I've seen what the refurbs go for...

The "oil" inside the unit seemed like molasses. Thick as mud. I took it all apart and cleaned out all the offending old lube. Put in a new fuse and the motor does turn nicely. Everything seems to be ok now, but my question is what sort of lube oil to put back into the unit?

I'm guessing some sort of gear lube?

When I cleaned up my feed drive I used 90 wt. gear oil. I believe that was what the mfg. recommended. It is thick like molasses. Mine has been working fine for over 13 years now.
