I don't think Speedy Metals plays that game.

SpeedyMetals does occasionally send out discount codes to previous buyers, but I haven't seen one since January.

That would be a rarity. I purchase quite a bit from Speedy metals and most times McMaster can't compete, Speedy metals is generally 10-15% cheaper.

Yeah, the last discount code was Spring2012. Nothing now
I checked McMaster & Enco, but they dont carry large diameter aluminum tubing. I guess I'll have to pay the extra 10%

                    Oddball,
                    I buy alot of Aluminum tubing, 7.5 x 6.5", 7 x 5", 6.5 x 6", 6.5 x 5.5", 6.5 x 5", etc.
I like Speedy Metals because they stock these diameters, and they cut to size for me, since I don't have a bandsaw with that capacity.
You know of any other vendors?

I bough some 12"x12" blocks of 3" and 4" thick alum recently and it was 25% less at McMaster.

Happens that way sometimes. When looking for smaller bits, speedy, online and McM. McM certs are "shady" and not always accepted. Speedy and Online metals always have certs. Prices for each individual piece are all over the map.

You need to check as many sources as you can, or as many as its worth checking depending on what you are buying.

Here's a place I've bought a few things, seems like they really don't have certs for any of it, and what they have is kind of all over the place, but they are cheap.

Surprising, I've always found McMaster higher than retail price on nearly everything, including raw stock. I still love them for the selection, shipping, and customer service though

Comparing their current prices of aluminum, McMaster is really expensive:

                          12" x 12" x 4", 6061

                          McMaster: $414
                          Speedy: $343

Talk about bad timing. I just placed an order with them about 15 minutes ago. Oh well, it was just a small one.

And if you look REAL close at an analog signal,
You will find that it has discrete steps.
