These are selling on ebay for $50. He sells quite a few a week. 29.95 here... A simple PWM module can control speed, such as ROuter speed control.. etc..

They had some treadmill motors from Turdan also. Might still have them.

We made a pwm controller for a pottery wheel for one, and I am updating the controller with IR comp for using another on the mill now.

About the same idea as the one you posted. I agree, should work well.

Any easy way to adapt to BridgePort j head?
