Advice for Mach-3 upgrade

Hello, was wondering if any of you have converted and Yasnak MX3 controlers to the Mach three controls. If so what was that experience like. Any feedback or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appeciated. I don't even know where to begin looking for a project like this.

Its going to be a major project. The machine will have analog drives A kflop can do that with the analog board if it has encoder feedback from the axes.
