Bought about 75 pounds of older machinist tools and tooling this weekend and in the lot was a set, #0-#10 of Cleveland (CTD tool Co.) Taper Pin reamers.
Other than manufacturing or repairing machines what would a person use these for? They are pretty neat and in very good shape but I can't decide if I would ever use them.
Also, when did Brown and Sharpe stop making reamers? The lot has some of their Chucking reamers that are still encased in wax or some sort of plastic.
Sorting out some pretty interesting bits. To give an idea of the age of some of these tools the man selling them was 81 and these were his father-in-laws.
