Since it's Memorial Day... I was wondering where these guys are:

David Cofer - (Dawai ; ibewgypsy)
Liger Zero

I'm sure there are others that haven't been heard from for awhile so please include them too...

Thanks...

Dawai is is actively posting on at least one other forum. Can't tell you where, for all I know he might be hiding out on some of you shady characters.

David's alive and well -- I think he just got bored with HSM Forum.

Sorry for the necrothread. I just got to thinking about David and Evan. Hope they are well and would love to see them back someday( I understand Evan may be done) but maybe mr cofer join up again. I learned a great deal from both
If they see this, happy new year

One or two of the ones not seen for a while I was told had had a "time out" applied, and are being fed and housed on your dime. No idea if it was Federal or state/local level........

There was a Forrest Addy update which referred to a post on PM. He was on the "right side of the dirt" and doing well.

Evan apparently found a new calling in life working at a University with brain scanning. Said he was finished with this forum, gave away most of his tools.

Before Evan went to the Uni, I went to see him and got some stuff. .
Matter of fact, just got some short term shop space and I dragged out the EVANbender. . Can't wait to try it.
Have not had contact with him for a few years..

Well, not too necro for some of us cause we are in between old and young.

That was the reason I tried to post a link to the first posts so some new readers could gain som insight. McGyver helped me out and produced this link.

I suggest most new readers start hear. Some very good reading. Starts in 2001. JR

Damn, that was like reading the obituary columns. So many now gone for good, and others just moved on to new endeavours.
Seems like most of the people I used to interact with when I joined the site 13 yrs ago are gone. Shame.

I was reading the old postings last night and two familiar names came up: Lynnl and Alistar Hosie are maybe the oldest active posters nowadays. Both 2002 joined.

Quite awhile ago, the forum crashed and the date reset to 8-2001. Starting on about the third page, newer posts are mixed in.

Edit: Looks like you have 2 months on me Sid.

I too visited Evan just before his move to Victoria and havent heard from him since. Ive slowly been getting his big telescope up and running, and would love to chat with him about it if hes ever around again.
