There ought to be a competition for that. Look how belt sander racing went world wide a few years ago. Thanks for posting this.

I've done that when taking a 1/4" deep cut in Delrin. If I get the speed & feed just right I can get the 'chip' to feed it self right into the junk barrel! Sure saves on clean-up and eliminates having the chip wind it self around the chuck.....

That wouldn't be so bad if the chips were getting broken into manageable pieces but, while cool, that was dangerous. Those get caught just right and birdsnest him into the chuck then it's not so cool.

Yep,dangerous long strings can also remove things like ears and hide off fingers.

Not to mention it always seemed to me that Aluminum shavings are sharper than steel.
