Obviously, neither of you want to let the other have the last word so I'll do it.

NAIT:
If you continue your vendetta, you're off the board. Dredge up one more old issue to rehash and you're gone. Pitch one more political issue and you're out! Antagonize one more member, you're banished.

jfsmith:
You've requested to be removed. That's not necessary but can be done.

This board has functioned very nicely without having to resort to complete monitoring (read that as censuring). To watch over and read every posting goes far beyond my time resources. Responding to thirty-some emails about a website rift is a waste of time much needed for magazine publication. Flame wars are totally unproductive and won't be tolerated.

Thank you, Neil. I refused to go to the other board because of the bickering there, and I respect your control to keep the same from happening here. This is like home for many of us of similar interests.

jf requested to be removed from "the other board" as well. Perhaps he should contact Al Gore to request being removed from the internet http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//wink.gif

Sounds sensible.

I agree that no one has to resign from the board, just go easier on others here. If you need a breather, just don't post for a while.

I really like this BB and spend more time here than on any other - and there are several that I really should pay more attention to. But I just like the way this one is run.

As far as I'm concerned, Neil is doing a great job of moderating it and I don't want him to have to waste time with this kind of problems. He should be publishing our favorite mags. We should be self-moderating.

This board is a great thing so lets not screw it up.

THANKS NEIL!

I agree with the above.

However, we all have a responsibility also.

Apparently both of the latest antagonists are going to remain here on the board, which is fine by me.

But, if that is the case, regardless of which of them we may or may not sympathize with, we all need to LET IT DROP.

I see a tendency for a little aggression towards one or the other just starting. Our responsibility is to follow the wishes of the board owner, who has let them stay.

So we need to just treat them as if nothing happened, and let the future tell the story.
