No pics yet as I have just done a phone deal.

Bought 60 Swiss made machine files made by Vallorbe, all brand new, still in wrapping and never used.
Flat, round, square and other shapes ?

Works out to about 50 pence per file.

No pics, sorry. Please pull through. Thanks for playing.

That is indeed a great deal. Vallorbe is no longer in business,I think. I value theirs that I have. I think decent machine files might cost about $25.00 each, though cheaper ones can be had. maybe my price memory is high?

Got no pics yet, got to drive half way across the country to collect them, well about 25 miles.
Probably have to have a night out for that distance.

Tiny gloats don't require pics.
Read the rules.

This could be upgraded to a full gloat when pics are submitted.

Forget to pay the lighting bill again? Watch your step, don't want to trip over something, could take days for search and rescue to get to you.

Your photo is great. Any score with new files is hard to beat. I could drive 25 miles one way and still be in Houston.

LOL, Screw the naysayers, and despite the humour. I'll always take your word. With what little I know about that brand name? It's a great score. I've driven far more than that for a pack of cigarettes.

its fairly hard to get tidy machine files these days, the Swiss ones are long lasting from what i have seen, chemical resharpening was something i meant to look at, i discovered chainsaw files in different sizes are parallel and cheap too, the Oregon ones were good, pity there aren't chainsaws with triangular and square gullets, perhaps I've invented something lol
Either way a good catch

I most often use a 6" half round bastard file inserted tang up(and tang cut off) in my die filer. I have a good supply of NOS machine files, but I'm too tight with them to use them if the standard file will do the job. Now that Nicholsons are soft as butter,I will have to find a different supplier to use.

Tiny Tool Gloat! And no pics. Sounds like a personal problem to me. "Clumsy Bastard". File joke, get it?

I guess those are black files. You should have left some space between them before you took the pic. It's hard to see the individual files like that.

Now now, you'll be upsetting john again. Besides there's no visible smoke in that photo :)

Whereabouts were the files John?

Was up at the Toton Lane tram-depot-to-be this afternoon. Nearly dropped in to admire the floor. :D

Files just west of Leicester but i have to go down to ARC at Leicester tomorrow to deliver a new lathe so belt across and save a bit of diesel, hopefully pics tomorrow night but might be Thursday as i have a CNC service call on my way back and depending could make me late.

Mark, you should have called in, tram depot is only a mile away.
