I bought a pipe bender today which is practically identical to the Harbour Freight one for the US members.
I have a question about this device , when bending a piece of 32mm or 11/4" pipe today ,I notice that it was trying to push the top section apart , does it need a couple of grade8 bolts placed between the legs to stop them from putting a lot of tension on the little pins which go in the ends of the roller supports?

Thanks in advance

There really won't be a lot of pressure on the retainer pins when bending but, on the other hand, if it makes you feel more comfortable, it won't hurt to throw a couple bolts in two of the holes. Any grade will be sufficient...
