View Full Version : OT: Are the cabs that got flooded new or old?

They stopped making Crown Vics in September of 2011, but these look like new ones that hadn't been put into service yet. The wires taped to the top and lack of markings would indicate that. Would the cab companies buy that many to have in reserve? What are the other vehicles? What a sad waste.

Anyone know the whole story?

Moot point cause they are all junk now. Wouldn't buy a salvaged screw from one of them.

I think those are all new since the Crown Vic was/is a staple of the Taxi fleet and it would only make sense to buy as many as were available as they went out of production.Same holds for police cruisers since neither application is suited to a Smart Car/ECONO-BOX.

The other vehicles in that picture appear to be Ford Transit Connects-

Oh, I don't know. The glass is probably still okay in most of those.
