Where is the best source for the skinny belt used on these lathes? I have found several places on the web, but $30 seems a lot for this belt. I can buy a REAL V belt from my local hardware store for about $6 or $7. Mine is about 15 yrs old, and has cracks, but still works. I realize that the strength is on the top of the V much like a serpentine belt on a car, but I would like to lay In a spare or two anyway. Bob.

Forgot to add, check the length of your existing belt as it's possible they may have changed the design of the lathe over the years.

I found that different years used different lengths. When I bought mine it had a belt so tight that changing to the other pulley was a chore. If I recall correctly, the 710 is 710 millimeters. The replacement was 720 and works fine on all settings.
