I know this gets done to death sometimes, but here is another pneumatic power drawbar I did recently. It has a twist in that it uses a mechanical linkage for lowering and actuating the impact driver.

So how do you know that it is tight enough? I can barely reach my draw bar and have to drag out a stool for belt adjustments. I think I'd prefer the stool over the power drawbar.

Very nice work; better built than my Kurt! I used to think power drawbars in home shops was for sissys ;), but... after using one for the past two years, I'm sold.

Boostinjdm - you can tell if it tight enough by the sound. About 2-3 seconds on mine.

I agree. Although I do like the "KISS" method Kurt used for the cam-action. :)
I'm sorry I waited so long before getting one. lol.

Looks good. Very similar to the one I did a couple of years ago in HSM. Same reason too! I'm not tall enough for my mill!

Really nice job and great ideas in it. I never get sick of looking at different designs of power drawbars. You did a great job welding up the handle, I thought it was machined out of aluminum until I read it. I have had all the gear here for around 4-5 years to build one, but am only just getting around to it now.
