    New improved FSWiszard?

There is a new version of FSWiszard out called HSMadvisor. http://hsmadvisor.com/index.php?page=Download

Have any of you all tried it yet? It now includes turning. I have tried it for a few days and it seems to do what I need.

I would be interested to read your thoughts. Being as I am not very experienced in machining I need all the help I can get at least with a jump off point regards feeds and speeds!

I am glad it is working out for you.
I did a quiet release a couple of days ago.
There are many new things in there. Turning, thread milling, built-in tool database and such.
I am more interested in things that it does not do.

For this reason like i said before every update will bump up trial counter to 30 days.
This way, i hope, users will feel compelled to suggest improvements and in return get to use my program for free. How is that for a deal?
The next things in the pipeline are threading and tapping.

Also if anyone is experiencing difficulties, i would love to help out.

Been quietly using this for a few weeks and find that the figures given are very good to actual cutting data.

One thing where this excels is that most commercial programs spit figures out that bear no relation to the machine it's on.

OK for industry who has 3,678 HP on tap [ approx ] but if you only have an X2 mill with 500W on tap then it's a different ball game.

Also like the fact that it also recognises that the rest of the world uses metric units.

        Keep up the good work.

          Yes
I just did a down load and had a go.....nice
Looks like it will work well with my BP CnC
I can enter Max H.P. along with max speed and feed for my machine and get real numbers.
          Nice work .

You added some European steels to the materials list. Danke! I use C35 and C45 quite often.

I got a "This unsafe software was blocked by Smartscreen Filter" message when I tried running the *.exe install file on Windows 7/64.

Previous version of FSWizard ran but required a Ctrl-Alt-Del to Task Manager to close it down on this machine.

I am running it on a Win 7 64bit system also. I couldn't get it to run on my XP laptop. I was having issues with the .net framework. I gave up an put it on my Win 7 laptop.

                    Depends on what material.
                    What engagement and so on.
You did not give enough info for me to help you out.

I am aware of this issue.
I am using encryption software to protect my code, and 2 or 3 out of 50 anti-viruses come false positive when they see an encrypted exe file.

I am going to try to address this issue in next update.
But its also possible i will have to leave it like that.

Also SmartScreen by Microsoft is checking whether my software is signed or not.
I can not help with that as a will not spend any time and money getting recognized by MS
In the mean time you could allow the software to run and it will not bother you again.

HSMAdvisor does not connect to the internet and i assure you i check it before every release, so it is 100 malware free.

Done; and HSMAdvisor installed, ran, and shut down normally. In my Windows 7/64, I finally found an override to MS SmartScreen Filter under the 'Tools' icon, then 'Safety' then 'Turn off SmartScreen Filter'; similar procedure to reset it.
