I have a Meiji BM1 long reach binocular microscope for PCB work...

I currently have x10 eyepieces (x1 bottom slide lens) which for 99% of the time are fine , but I would like to add x20 and x40.

Second hand Meiji eyepiece lenses dont appear on ebay often , so it looks like I'm going to have to buy some similar lenses and make them fit with bushings etc.... the Meiji lenses are 30.5mm wide and most current ones seem to be 23.5mm

but is it that simple?..

Yes.

I'd recommend starting with the 20s and deciding if you really need 40. I rarely use the maximum power of my own scope or the one at work.
