View Full Version : small size Enco Turret Toolpost, innards

Rec'd my Enco Mfg turret toolpost (2 5/8" square) and the innards are a bit different than the "exploded" photo I have of their larger but same format toolpost.

The larger version has an additional shoulder on the central post and a matching bore/shoulder in the block itself, a wound spring fits in there I assume to help separate the block from the base/post when indexing.
Could this smaller version rely solely on the much lesser pressure put on by the spring under each of the balls used for indexing?

Anyone using this small a version of the Enco toolpost?
