I am visiting my son in law here and need to make a small insert to repair a window crank mechanism. Anyone here who could help? A small part, less than 1 inch OD and less than an inch long. Should be made from steel, but anything would work.

Does anyone know of a place in Hawaii that would have a stock of repair parts for OLD crank-out windows?

Thanks,

Steve

Try here http://www.blainewindow.com/index.php
Wouldn't it be easier to make it or have it made & take with you?

Yes, I am in Hawaii now. I have figgured out which mechanism it is, from the link flylo posted. Would still like to repair rather than replace it since it was last made in 1998.

E-mail a drawing, plane ticket & I'll deliver. Not even Drs make house calls anymore
