My Siegmund welding and fixturing table arrived today. Actually one table and all the tooling arrived. One table is yet to come. Some holdup at the factory.

It is really cool how fast and easy it is to set things up. All one hand operation.

I am really pleased with the quality.

George, FYI, Pam cooking spray is fantastic anti-splatter spray to keep those little bits of slag from sticking everywhere. I suggest you use it liberally to keep that table looking good.

I think the sheep will be a bit uncomfortable with all those sticky-up bits all over the table. Still, plenty of scope for tying it down, I suppose.

I hope you're not going to weld on it. And, please, wipe it with an oily rag as soon as your French girls step down after a photo session.

No need to worry about having to wipe it down with an oily rag...............

At a cost of $6000 to $10,000 they should be self cleaning.

Siegmund Welding Tables are the finest available on the market. These German constructed tables feature five fixturing surfaces constructed from 1 inch (25mm) thick plate with additional reinforcement underneath the work surface. Fixture mounting holes are CNC machined to 28mm diameter, spaced 100mm apart with a flatness rating of +/- .0025 inches per foot. The tables are given a plasma nitride finish which creates a work surface that is extremely resistant to wear, deformation, corrosion, and weld spatter. Table hardness is rated at HRC 49.7 (HV500).

Ouch! At this price the table should come with a cleaning lady and a professional welder.

Hey Black Forest, question on the yellow/black holding clamp... what material is the yellow square block?

That looks way too pretty to go welding on. Out of interest what size is the table?

Talk about green with envy... :-)

Danm! That would be the perfect table for me to weld my scissor lift frame. 28mm thick surface and 50HRC, That almost qualifies it as an anvil :)

Have fun using that table. I am looking forward to seeing that table in action ...

They are made out of some kind of cast metal. Those clamps are quite heavy.

Taydin my table is not 28mm thick. The ones I bought have 16mm holes not 28mm. The holes on the 28mm hole tables are on a 100mm grid. I thought that might be too big of a grid for some of the projects I have planned. The table has a grid of 100mm plates underneath. It is plenty stout for what I need. It has a capacity of two metric tons.
