Thank you to our families of soldiers, many of whom have given so much more then the rest of us for the Freedom we enjoy.

It is true, there is nothing free about freedom, don't be so quick to give it away.

Thanks for the link... hard to believe (but good) a place still can manufacture like that and stay in business.

The lighting is superb, very nicely filmed.

I like the boxes for sets of Louis L'Amour novels. His stories are the best, always using real geography which makes me open my maps to follow the action.

                  A good start.

Makes me want to hit a Barnes & Noble and pick up a couple of those collections for the boxes, now that I've seen where they come from.

Lots of local Oregon products. I will have to see if I can find some of their boxes. Thanks for the link to a great video. My Dad used to manage a crew making big wooden fruit boxes for a co-op cannery SW of Portland, OR.

The box factory is in California, about fifteen miles east of Redding.

Not surprised at all the dog had no tail. Rather expected that as soon as I saw him. Surprised they even let him in the shop. The only time I saw hearing protection was when the guy was operating the branding machine. Imagine the effort of replacing bearings in that place?

                            Yep! I enjoyed that immensely.

That's what a factory is supposed to look like.

That was way cool, at first I thought "15 minutes - yeah we'll see" ---- then after just one minute I could not turn away,

so cool to see their still getting it done, where's all the guys chiming in that they should upgrade like in that old machine shop vid? I guess boxes are exempt to the rule?

thanks YOD - it's always cool to see a blast into the past but the icing on the cake is it's keeping up with the functioning present... I was also asking myself I wonder what the story is behind the dogs tail...
