I don't think that's a lathe. I think it's mixed parts of a workhead off a tool & cutter grinder.

Still an interesting unit, albeit overpriced by about $185. :D

It is possibly an amalgum of T&C grinder parts, but it looks more automotive to me. Perhaps a combo valve grinder/starter-generator commutator turning machine. It would be interesting to see the name tag on the motor.
