Picked up a Barns and Noble Nook HD+ a month or so ago and wanted to make a stand for it.

Don't have a real mill, all milling was done on a 3 in 1 multi-machine.

Roughly 6" wide.

Looks good. No doubt it will outlast the device is was intended to hold by many years.

I think you need to beef it up. You dont want to wake up some morning in 4013 and find your Kindle broken because your stand collapsed.

OK, I'll bite...WTF is a NOOK? God I wish people would speak English sometimes...

A Nook is the Barnes and Noble version of a Kindle.

I like to think of things in terms of "Robust technology".
A book is very robust technology.
You can run it over with a truck, and it is still functional.
A iPhone is not robust enough for the same treatment.

A candle is another robust technology.
Throw a candle off the roof of a building, and
when it hits the ground, it is still useable.
A light bulb will not be functional.

Some modern things may do some wiz-bang stuff,
but they are fragile and go out of date quickly.
Robust technology may be simple, but it is always
rugged and effective, and usually timeless.

That is how I roll.

Neat.
I have a Nook and our public library supports them with downloadable books- I've always read a lot and now I read even more.

I agree. There is just something magical about a book. For my current AR build, I downloaded the pdf of the Army's current manual and then printed it out and put the pages in a three ring binder. Like I said in another thread, when it comes to books, I'm a Luddite.
