Anybody got one they're wanting to unload after getting that fancy new mill? I have an 8x16 Mini-lathe and need to do some light milling work....can't afford a real mill or have the space for it!

Thanks for looking! http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//smile.gif

Taig Lathes sells a small milling attachment that with a little work would do the job.

There'a a nice milling attachment for a decent price Dickey.
If you're not in a hurry it wouldn't be hard to use the picture as a guide to make one.

Why not make one? I did and I am very pleased with its performance.

Thanks Evan, that's a very nice piece of work! Looks simple enough that this neophyte machinist might try. Did you just use your lathe's original compound slide?

Yes, that is the original compound. Many times the vise is not needed, I just clamp or bolt items to the compound T slot.

Thanks, that is definitely an elegant solution. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif
