I want to make a set of these paw doughnuts for the wife. I bought these several years ago and can't remember who I got them from. They are used to keep a horse from pawing when in the stall or trailer. They are 1/2 inch steel rod. bent in a 3/4 circle. Any idea how these were made??

Gene,

I can't help but notice that this post is identical to your first, which brought in several replies. That post has since moved on to the second page, but you can click here (http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net/threads/61959-How-were-these-made) to see it.

1/2" bar I would be tempted to wrap by hand around a pipe in a circle and then cut out the piece you need.
